About Us

In 2019, after 30 years of involvement in the sport of Obedience, among others, Kim Chester was acutely aware of a need in the dog training community. Missing from the local clubs, groups, and trainers was a dedicated, accessible, indoor space that was available year round for furthering the training of individuals and groups. So addressing this need, Kim founded the All Things Dog Room. Over the next six years, despite many challenges and hurdles, she was able to realize her vision of a space that supports the dog sport community, bringing people, clubs, and groups, both new and established, together. Upon meeting this milestone, it came time for Kim to move on to the next adventure. With the same thoughtfulness and insight that was put into the creation of the room, Kim sought new ownership that would continue to foster the spirit of community and canine/human relationship. This led her to Nicole Ryan and Paige Dombroski.

It was in working for a local doggy daycare that Nicole and Paige first met and became fast friends. They bonded over a love of dogs and dog sports. When it came time that both Paige and Nicole left the daycare, they continued their friendship and growth in training. Nicole moved into the Veterinary industry as a Certified Assistant and Receptionist while Paige moved into working for a local pet store. Following the change in careers, both Nicole and Paige continue to be involved in a number of local dog clubs and several different sports. Both have trained under Kim in Obedience and Field sports. It has been their consistent passion, involvement, and dedication that has led Kim to Nicole and Paige as the future of the All Things Dog Room. It is the vision of all three that the roots of what Kim has begun will stay the same and, in so doing, support growth into the future.

Nicole Ryan

Nicole's passion for dogs began in childhood accompanying her father and their German Shepherds to the local Schutzhund club in Langley. As an adult, her journey in canine sports continued with her Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, leading her to explore CKC sports.

Over the years Nicole has proudly earned titles in Obedience, Rally, Tracking, and Field sports with several dogs. Now a CKC Hunt Test, Working Certificate, Fetch Judge, and CGN Evaluator, she is actively pursuing her goal of becoming a CKC Tracking Judge.

Paige Dombroski

Paige is a dedicated breeder of Field Bred English Springer Spaniels. With a rich background in training and competing, she is certified to judge CKC Spaniel tests, and Fetch tests. She has successfully led her kids and dogs though numerous competitions, including Obedience, and Rally. Paige's journey began with a Husky/Shepherd mix from the SPCA who had strong dog aggression. The behavior training that they went through sparked a love of training that has now grown into a love of dog sports.
